About this tour
Novi Sad is two places facing each other across the Danube: the old centre on the left bank, and Petrovaradin Fortress on the rock opposite. This walk covers both in one morning or afternoon, at an easy pace.
We start on Freedom Square, walk Zmaj Jovina and Dunavska streets, and cross the river to the lower town. From there we climb to the upper fortress, walk the walls, and finish at the clock whose big hand shows the hours. Classic means a small group, a steady pace and time for questions.
